The young
Henry of Monmouth is knighted by King Richard II during the campaign against
Ireland in 1399. Henry was taken into Richard's court as a hostage following
his father's banishment, and accompanied Richard during his campaign to Ireland
later in the year. This illustration is taken from an early 15th-century French

The sword of Henry V from Westminster Abbey. This arming sword was found in the Triforium of Westminster Abbey in 1869 and, although located separately, is believed to be one of the funeral 'achievements' of Henry V.
